Picture elements allow you to display a computer image file in your memorial.
Below is an example picture of the view of the Earth from the Moon, with the
caption 'view from the moon'.

You can change the width and/or the height of the picture. The following example
picture is the same as the previous, yet the width is set to 100 pixels
(the small dots on your computer screen).

To create a new picture, locate an Element Creation Box where you want the picture to be
positioned. By default the paragraph option is shown. Click on 'paragraph', which will
display a list of all the possible elements that can be created. Click on 'picture'
and it will be shown in place of the default paragraph option. With 'picture' selected,
click on the 'insert' button.

The page will reload showing the words 'insert picture' in bold text at the top.

creating a picture
Near the top of the page is a small button with the word 'centered' beside it. If you
click on the small button and a check mark is shown, the picture will be centered in
your memorial.
Below the small button are two fields. The first field controls the width of the picture. The
second field controls the height of the picture. These values will change how the picture is
displayed in your memorial.
At first these two fields are set to 'default', which results in no change to the width
or height from the original size of the image file. To change the values simply click in the
field after the word 'default' and use your backspace key to erase 'default' and then enter
the new value. You can enter any numeric value.
Tip: If you only enter a value for the width and leave the height set to 'default', the
picture will be displayed with a height scaled to keep the aspect ratio of the image constant.
Likewise, if you only enter a value for the height and leave the width set to 'default', the
picture will be displayed with a width scaled to keep the aspect ratio of the image constant.
Below the width and height fields is the caption field. Any text entered here will be shown
in a small bold font centered below the picture in your memorial.
Below the caption field is a file field and a 'browse' button. Clicking on the 'browse' button
will cause a file browser window to appear. You use the browser to locate the image file
on your personal computer. The file must be one of the following:
JPEG file, with the extension '.jpg' or '.jpeg'
GIF file, with the extension '.gif'
PNG file, with the extension '.png'
Below the browse button are three buttons. The first, labeled 'cancel' is used to abort
the creation of the new picture.
The second button, labeled 'reset input' will clear the file selection and the
caption fields, set the width and height fields to 'default' and clear the check
mark of the centered button.
The last button, labeled 'create' will create the picture. Your new picture will
be placed exactly where the Element Creation Box was located (where you clicked on
'insert'). The picture will be located inside a yellow box, called the 'Picture
Change Box'. See below for more information on making changes to an existing picture.
If there are already picture elements or a background image in your memorial then
the page will look like the following example. You can 'reuse' other
pictures in your memorial. To reuse another picture you must click the radio button
beside the picture you want to reuse so that it becomes darkened. If you reuse a
picture you don't have to click on the 'browse' button, however you still have to
click on the 'create' button.

creating pictures with choices
If the picture did not get created and you clicked on the 'create' button
please see the trouble shooting page for more help.
