Vertical Space elements are used to separate other elements in your memorial. The
size of the vertical space is specified by a number of pixels (the small dots on
your computer screen).
The space between this line
and this one has been made using a vertical space element with size set to 100 pixels.
To create a new vertical space, locate an Element Creation Box where you want the vertical
space to be positioned. By default the paragraph option is shown. Click on 'paragraph', which will
display a list of all the possible elements that can be created. Click on 'space'
and it will be shown in place of the default paragraph option. With 'space' selected,
click on the 'insert' button.

The page will reload showing the words 'add vertical space' in bold text at the top.

creating a vertical space
Near the top of the page is a field where you type in the size of the vertical space
(in pixels). It is set to the default value '10' pixels. Below the field is an example
vertical space that is 10 pixels high (and is outlined in black so it can be easily seen).
Below the example vertical space are three buttons. The first, labeled 'cancel' is
used to abort the creation of the new vertical space.
The second button, labeled 'reset input' will set the size field back to the default of '10'.
The last button, labeled 'create' will create the vertical space. Your new vertical space
will be placed exactly where the Element Creation Box was located (where you clicked on
'insert'). The vertical space will be located inside a yellow box, called the
'Vertical Space Change Box'. See below for more information on making changes to an existing
vertical space.
If the vertical space did not get created and you clicked on the 'create' button
please see the trouble shooting page for more help.
