STEPH

Senior Picture

------------------------STEPHANIE ELIZABETH FREEMAN 9/13/72-4/12/93----------------------- Could we ever forget your sparkling eyes or the way you brightened each day, or your smile which is etched in our memory so that you're never far away? Could we ever forget those priceless moments, the answer of course is never. For you were a part of our lives for a brief time but you'll be in our hearts forever.

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Psalms 23

April 12th, 2005 Quietly I'm remembering you in the silence of my heart. Each thought of you, a treasure while we are now apart. At times I'm filled with longing; Your face I'd love to see, To feel your warmth, to hear your voice, to have you here with me. But God has a plan; He created you and numbered all your days. May he hold you in His loving arms and surround me with His grace. With the hope of reunion in Heaven one day, We had to entrust you to His care. Cherished memories of you live on in my heart. Your life is a gift we share.

I never came to you, my friend, and went away without some new enrichment of the heart; More faith and less of doubt, more courage in the days ahead. And often in great need coming to you, I went away comforted indeed. How can I find the shining word, the glowing phrase that tells all that your love has meant to me, all that your friendship spells? There is no word, no phrase for you on whom I so depend. All I can say to you is this, God bless you precious friend

April 12, 2004 Months in advance I start to dread this day the anniversary of when she went away My heart starts to feel heavy and tears start to flow Why'd He take her? Why'd she go? Then the memories come rushing back in I can hear her laugh and see her smile again The lake and the candy shop, and the warm summer nights The beer and the booze and the Marlboro lights Remember the friends we made from LG, GF, and the Landing Some of those friendships are still withstanding Remember the stars and the islands and cars The trips we took both near and far Remember how we lived each day like it was our last Who would've guessed it would have ended so fast I often wonder where on earth she would be A doctor, a lawyer, a mother like me? Even though she's not here she's in all that I see It's times like these I remember how good it feels Remembering Stephanie.

9/13/04 Excerpt from Eulogy in 1993 by Marci Clark: "I would like to share with you a poem by Clay Harrison that Steph sent to a friend. It expresses her philosophy of life. "No life is useless and no day is in vain, for God has a purpose for sunshine and rain. All are discouraged and everyone cries, but we're never alone beneath the cloudy skies. All hearts can break...they're fragile as glass, but God will mend them and this too shall pass. Sometimes we succeed and sometimes we fail, so follow your dream whatever the trail. For no one's a loser who gives it his best, and you can stand tall above all the rest. For those who are faithful and noble at heart, no life is useless when God has a part, Be swift to give praises and slow to complain ........... GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR SUNSHINE AND RAIN.""
