Quiet, unobtrusive, yet dedicated to his passions. Jay loved life and it echoed in his love for building things. Whether it was models, buildings, or his very own '69 Camaro, he was a master craftsman.
He was also a very avid hunter and fisherman, hobbies that were compatible with his reserved nature. It was not unusual for Jay to show up missing for days, but those who knew him never worried because they knew what he was doing. He was spending time alone with God.
His quiet nature, however, never backed away from a threat. Always willing to stand up to perceived injustice or accept a challenge, Jay suffered massive internal injury following a motorcycle race, and passed away on May 8th, 1988.
We will never forget him.
