Tyler, you will be lovingly remembered and terribly missed.
Tyler lived a vibrant life. In his short life he touched many -- he was the type of person who left an impression on everyone he met. He courageously faced his challenges head on, and overcame them in his own unique way. Known for his original and ever-changing style, he refused to stray from his own ideals and beliefs. His greatest strength was his ability to stick to his guns and stay true to himself.
Psalm 139: 14-18
"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you."
Sault College held a memorial in Tyler's honour on May 5th 2003. Rick McGee,of Sault College, was kind enough to inform us that the memorial was very moving and meaningful. Many of Tyler's peers and teachers spoke very warmly and highly of him. He made a big impact on a lot of lives. The Rev. Philip D. Miller also contributed significantly to the ecumenical service through his thoughtful
words.
The following are a series of photos taken at the memorial.
"I sometimes hold it half a sin
To put in words the grief I feel;
For words, like Nature, half reveal
And half conceal the Soul within."
-Alfred Lord Tennyson-
"FOR NOW I AM WHAT I AM"
