West, Ronald William (1949 - 2005)

May 29, 1949-December 22, 2005

Failing to fetch me at first keep encouraged, Missing me one place search another, I stop somewhere waiting for you. -Walt Whitman, "Leaves of Grass"

Ronald West, born May 29, 1949, a Vietnam War veteran, son of William and Mary West, brother to Robert West, husband of Shirley Starczewski West, father of Sasha and April West, son-in-law of Stanley and Stella Stczewski. Died at 56 years of age due to a fatal car wreck.

But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand, And said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind All those I dearly love.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.-- Anonymous

December 24, 2005 I was so very sorry to hear about Ron. I work with him at the L&DC and he was a great guy. Even though he was tired, he was always pleasant and never short tempered. He was so proud of his family and talked about you often. My deepest sympathies go out to you all and I want you to know that we will miss Ron too. He kept us up on all the scores of the football games and now we have noone to do that. My prayer for you is that God will give you the strength to get through this sad time and the many months ahead. Bonnie Caldwell (pgh, PA ) normbon@att.net

December 27, 2005 To The West Family, We are sharing in your loss at the L&DC. It will be lonely without Ron's knowledge of many things. He never forgot what he spoke to you about. The most important thing to him was his family. He always put the three of you first. You will be in my prayers. If there is anything you may need please contact one of us. December 31, 2005 I did not know Ron personally. But when our supervisor read us the news before our shift at the L&DC she had tears running down her face. After that, I heard nothing but wonderful things about a man with a great sence of humor who adored and loved his family more than life itself. As somone who lost my father at a young age, I can sympathize with your pain. I am so sorry for you loss. All of you will be in my prayers. Kelly R (Allison Park, PA ) KellBell1379@hotmail.com

Shirley, Sasha, Stan and Stella So sorry to hear about your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May you find peace in all of the many fond memories that you have of Ron. He was a nice friendly face to yell a greeting to us when we were in PA, but most of all I'm sure he was a great Husband, Dad and Son-in Law to you all.
