This site is an effort to preserve the memory of Raúl Armando Terán Ramírez, the greatest son, brother, uncle, friend, lawyer and person, who left this world to be on the presence of God at the short age of 29 in a car accident.
Raúl Armando was born April 26, 1975. Son to Mariano and Socorro, brother of Iliana & Raúl, Mariano & Laura and uncle to Mariana & Santiago.
He studied, and made great friends, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Academy (OLGA)in Calexico, California, Instituto Villafontana, Instituto Valle de Mexicali, Cetys, UABC in Mexicali, Mexico and UANL in Monterrey, Mexico.
As a lawyer he worked with Huape y Asociados in Mexicali, Mancera Ernst & Young and PricewaterhouseCoopers in Monterrey and finally at the Cervantes-Quijano Law firm in Tijuana.
Always there to help his friends and loved ones, his departure only confirmed how much we all love and admire him. Hundreds of people have mourned and cried Raul's absence. Many traveled from all over Mexico and the US just to be in Mexicali in time to say, not goodbye, but farewell to "El Señor Terán" (Lord Teran) as we called him in lieu of his gentlemanship, prudence and manners.
Reliability was the constant in his life. He never left loose ends nor unclear feelings. Lived by and for the Law, his professional and personal love. A white ribbon hanging out the door of his apartment was his last cry for a better world.
He got to know the whole world in part through his many travels and in part through long hours of reading. Learned to find happines in a good chat, playing with his nephews, a good cigarrete in a little café in Italy, discussing the latest sports stats with Dad, a neat set of designer suits and ties in his closet. Details enriched his life, and details is what he left us to remember him by.
He left unfinished plans and unattained ambitions in this world, but now has reached what we should all long and hope for: going back to God almighty with the best credentials, knowing he lived a rich life doing nothing but good for others and that he will live in the hearts of hundreds who will always remember how he touched our lives.
Here's a photograph we took on his last (29th) birthday. We celebrated at a restaurant in Puerto Nuevo, Baja California, where he even wore a Sarape and Charro hat!!! Unbelievable!!
