Eldon James Mcgarvey June 7 1924 - January 17 2001 My Dad, what a guy he was. Married 50 years to my Mom on Jan 26, 2001, a day dad was really looking forward to. Dad had a stroke in 1986 on Jan 21, he was paralyzed on the left side for 15 years. He never gave up, always laughing and joking with his grandchildren and his wife and kids. Then on Jan.7, 2001 dad had another stroke this time on the other side. We were told he would be paralyzed on both sides now if he were to survive & be fed with a tube. We didn't want this for dad. We went through 10 days of the hardest days anyone could face, we said to dad to let go, mom will be fine and Randy and I will look after her for him. On Jan 17,2001 at 5:27pm, Dad left us.... He will be missed dearly, he was one heck of a dad. THE BEST. Dad was a meat cutter since he was 14 years old, to me he was the best cutter around. I know now he is in heaven teaching everyone he knows just how to cut meat. Eldon's first Great grandson born Sept,6th,2001.
