March 7 1941 - July 23 2001
We don't know how much time we have on earth. Each day is given to us by something we all can't quite understand. Wether it's our belief in God or some other explanation we are here to live life... And we do, until our time here on earth has come to end. Some people think we go to the heavens, some people think we become someone else.
Where ever you are MOTHER I know you are at peace.
For you are kept in a special place in all of us.
We are happy you have gone on and not suffering.
We will miss you and love you always.
Your Loving Family,

Ethel (Pat,Patricia) Marie March 1941 - July 2001
Time:Memorial Services Held On Friday 27, 2001
Place:Brooklyn, NY
Thank you all for your condolences.
I just recieved this letter in an email I do believe it belongs on my
mothers memorial page.
Pat and I were in the same grade in the Saranac Lake High School. I
had several close friends and Pat was one of them. I never entered a room
she was in when she didn't have a smile on her face and greeted me
each time. She was mischievous in a sense with her humor.
We whispered a lot and passed notes a lot and were fortunate never to
get caught.
I used to sleep over at Pat's and we giggled as High School teenagers
do. But Pat was a good person Never a bad word and never a word against
anyone. Just cheerful and fun to be with.
After High School we lost track of each other. That was in 1958. A long
time ago. Last year there were classmates working to hold a Class
Reunion and part of the process was a form we received so we could fill
in our names, addresses and this time - e-mail addresses.
One evening about a year ago, I opened my e-mail and lo and behold
there was a message from Pat! She asked for my well being and what I
was up to, then described her illness and told me about her WEB site in
an effort to instill the dangers of smoking to any of us to see and
heed. It was very moving, emotionally. From that point on we
corresponded back and forth. One time I sent her a joke and she wrote
back telling me it was the funniest she'd seen in a long time. She told
me she liked to search for and receive jokes so her nieces and nephews
would know that she was having a good day if they heard from her - even
through just a joke. Always humorous!
One evening I was thinking of Pat and dropped her a line to check in on
her. I started off by saying, " I came up to clean this room, but this
(computer) looked like more fun." When she replied and in closing Pat
wrote across the bottom " NOW GO CLEAN THAT ROOM!!! I could literally
hear her saying that and knew just how it would sound if we were
actually talking.
The last note I got was short and somehow I knew the end must be near.
With mixed emotions and lots of prayers I knew she would be at peace.
It is with deep appreciation that you notified me and many others about
her passing. Thank you.
