Antonio Ruben and Mateo Esteban were brought into this world on January 10, 2005. Antonio weighed 5 lbs 4 oz and Mateo at 4 lbs 12 oz. Tiny little guys came two months early and were so strong. Only stayed in the NICU for 9 days and let me tell yout that those were the longest days of my life at that time. I brought them home on the 19th to spend the best 4 months 14 days of my life. I regained custody of my two girls as well as bringing my miracles home. It was like having 4 children all over again. I loved it though and would never trade it for anything in this world. I tried so hard to shelter them from anything.....and everything that could hurt them or make them sick. Even at thier sisters Bday party I sheltered them from even my own family to keep them from catching anything...well sadly I discovered a hernia on Mateo and rushed him to the ER May 20 and when we got there he was smiling all over again. Even though he was in pain he was not letting anyone know it for anything....So the doctors said that he would go in for surgery to correct the problem and let us go home with an almost clean bill of health. Well sadly May 25th he decided to go home to God and watch us from above. The most devastating day of my life happened that day. I can't believe that he is really gone. I have been through so much since then and will go through so much more. I want you to know that I love you so very much and I thank god every day that you were with me for that amount of time. I got to see your first smile, your first laugh and even your first giggle. I saw you smile so big when you looked at me or the man who decided that he wanted to be your papi. We both miss you so very much...Elisa talks about you all the time and misses you too.
