Deborah Ann Whitner Hewlett was born on April 21, 1955 to the late Marva Horsey and Carl Whitner. She was abandoned at an early age and up until the age of 12, she had to live with various relatives, including her grandfather. Deborah antended Philadelphian schools, including Girls' High and the infamous Mastermond, the number one school in Pennsylvania. She attended college in New York, but she had to leave, due to pregnancy. In 1995, she married Darryl Elliot Hewlett on September 2, but they were divorced in November of 2003. She worked as a bill collector at the NCO and was recently given another change of department. In the afternoon hours of June 5th, 2007, she had a heart attack and was rushed to Temple Hospital. She died in her sleep. Her survivors are, starting with the eldest, her step-father, Wilbert J. Horsey (age 82, former WW2 soldier), her ex-husband and friend, Darryl (age 51) her son Charles S. Whitner (age 33 out of wedlock.), her daughter, Darrah M. Hewlett (age 13, born out of wedlock. author of memoriam, her two grandsons, Brandon (age 11, turned 11 on the day she died, Charle's son) and Ahmad (age 4 or 5, does not remember her. Charle's son.) and a huge host of loving in-laws and friends. We will always remember her as the mighty matriarch we all know and love.
