In Loving Memory of JAMES JOSEPH NASH (1922-1997) May 23, 1922 - August 28, 1997 Our story... The doctors were very confused with Dad's condition and it was not until his death, that an autopsy confirmed he died of a rare condition known as Lewy Body disease. It is a neurodegenerative disorder associated with abnormal structures found in certain areas of the brain. Many symptoms of Lewy Body disease are associated with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Within a month of being admitted to the hospital, this disease robbed a once proud man of his speech and ability to feed and or dress himself. Sadly, within three months, it took his life.On May 23,1997 we celebrated his 75th birthday. Who would have thought that we only had 3 precious months to spend with him. In the presence of his children, on that warm summer day in August, he drew his last breath and followed the light to eternal rest. Dad was the middle of 3 children. An older brother Thomas, who passed away July of 2004 & a sister, Marietta, who predeceased them years before. Dad was born and raised in a small farmhouse outside of Seaforth. On May 10th, 1951, Dad married our mother Ginette Moyart. Sadly, she would predecease him in 1994. Dad worked hard all his life. He was a kind and gentle man. He is fondly remembered by his children; Marlene, Gary, John Mark, Marie Therese, Danny(predeceased 1981), Jimmy, Audrey, Bobby and Tamara. His Grandchildren (some of whom, he never got the chance to meet) Greg, Lisa, Chris, Kyle, Brandon, Daniel, Korey, Lawrence, Carrie, Andrea, Adeena, Robyn, Renee, Lyndsay, Joel, Danny, Jared, Rachel, Megan and Madison. Somewhere beyond the sunset Where the loneliness never dies He dwells in a beautiful garden Beneath God's heavenly skies. May the wind of Heaven blow softly On that sweet and sacred spot Where the one we love is sleeping And will never be forgot. Sending all our love Dad... Dad as we will always remember him As the day slowly comes to an end, our thoughts turn to you my father....a friend. Loving and kind in all his ways. Upright and just to the end of his days. Sincere and kind in heart and mind. What a beautiful memory you left behind. Sad are the hearts that love you. Silent the tears that fall. Living our lives without you. Is the hardest part of all. We miss you dad. Treasure him God, in your Garden of Rest. For in this world, he was one of the best. To visit Ginette Nash's memoriam page, please click here
