Griffis, Miracle Dina (1962 - 1998)

I Believe In Miracles!!!!

Miracle Dina Griffis:

Miracle at Leasa's 40th Birthday Party March 1998

You were and will always be my best friend and as a matter of fact you were more like the sister I never had. What I wouldn't give to hear you say "Hey, Trisha, What's up???" One more time. Even though I talk to you everyday it just isn't the same without seeing your face. We have known each other since we were 8 or 9 years old. We grew up together (we went to Elementary School and High School together, plus many other trials and tribulations). The Lord called you home at the young age of 36 on September 28, 1998. We had always talked about turning 40 together. Now I will have to do it alone.

Miracle and Pat at Pam's Birthday Party April 1998

Miracle had Diabetes which led to kidney failure. She had just began kidney dialysis, but the infection had gotten in her blood system and spread throughout her body including her heart. As a result of that she had open heart surgery and went into a coma and never came back. I realize she doesn't have to suffer anymore or have anymore pain. But it still hurts so bad and we all miss her. (Her Mom, brothers, sisters, friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and goddaughter, which is my daughter).

Miracle and Pat in Merriville, IN on their way to the P-Funk Concert May 1998

I understand that there is no hurt that heaven cannot heal in time. But I miss you so much. I miss your smile, your laughter and all the silly little things you used to do. Sometimes I think that You knew your time on this earth was coming to end. By the things you would tell me. One day you said, " I am doing something that I know is wrong but I can't help myself." YOU said, "Trisha, when I die I don't want to go to hell for this," But, I told you God is a forgiving God. In the last year of your life, you introduced me to the love of my life (Andre, I know I have told you THANK YOU a least a hundred times, but I guess you did that so I would never forget you and trust me not a day goes by without me thinking of you, not because of that, but because I miss you) we double dated, went to concerts, out to eat or just hung out together like we did when we were younger. These are good times that I think of when I'm feeling blue and that helps me a lot and puts a smile on my face, but I also know, Girlfriend, you have gone on to a better place, and I will see you again someday. So until then, I will say so long for now, but Girlfriend I know I will see you on the other side.

Miracle and Pat at the Hotel right before the P-Funk Concert May 1998

I am proud to have had you for a friend and sister and I thank the Lord for Miracle!!!

Miracle, Sherry, Alayne and Pat at Halloween Party October 1997

So just remember we all have to leave this world one day, so live each day to the fullest and always remember to cherish your loved ones because no one is promised tomorrow. Tell the people that you love how much you love them each day because you never know when that they may be taken away.
